Extra Virgin Olive Oil
A bold, vibrant extra virgin olive oil with fresh green fruit, a peppery kick, and a smooth, lingering finish. Perfect for finishing dishes that deserve the best.
This olive oil offers a lively and expressive flavour profile. It starts with bright hints of fresh green fruit — think crisp apple and herbal undertones — then develops into a peppery mid-palate that pleasantly tingles on the tongue. The experience finishes with a smooth, buttery note that lingers on the palate. It’s balanced but bold, designed to be noticed and to enhance your cooking rather than hide behind it.
We source exclusively from producers that practice responsible cultivation, respecting Portugal’s rich olive-growing heritage and caring for the land. There are no shortcuts or mass blends here — just pure, expressive oil. Each batch is carefully pressed and bottled to preserve its full vitality and vibrant character.
It’s perfect for finishing dishes where flavour really counts — drizzled over grilled vegetables, fresh seafood, handmade pasta, or simply enjoyed with warm bread and a pinch of sea salt. Once you taste the difference, there’s no going back.
Product type: Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Brand: Frankly Portugal
Origin: 70+ year-old pastoral olive groves from the Ribatejo region of Portugal.
Harvest date: mid-October 2024.
Olive grove characteristics: Only from pastoral olive groves where trees are 6-8 metres apart, ensuring the promotion of biodiversity whilst also supporting the livelihoods of local farmers and shepherds. As opposed to the super-intensive monoculture method, whereby the grove must be ripped out and replanted every 12 years, these trees are planted and maintained to last the test of time.
Harvest method: Hybrid of manual and machine harvesting, ensuring the speedy delivery to the proximate mill within minutes of harvest.
Extraction method: Continuous system, two-phase (the olive paste is directly processed without the addition of water), cold extraction by mechanical means, and under high vacuum. High attention to detail at every stage of the process with the use of temperature sensors and vacuum-machinery to keep oxidation down to a minimum.
Tasting notes: Medium fruitiness, fresh yet smooth, with light grassy tones and a peppery finish.
